Beginning of Grade 3 (BOG3) Reading Assessment
The BOG3 reading assessment is administered shortly after the school year begins to students enrolled in grade 3. It is an equivalent form of the End-Of-Grade assessment, containing 42 multiple choice items from both informational and literary texts. The BOG3 provides teachers with an early indication of student's performance in reading, allowing the teacher to tailor instruction to individual student needs. The data from the BOG3 is used to measure student growth in reading over the course of the year.
