Welcome to Cherokee Central Schools. We want to thank you for your consideration of Cherokee Central Schools and know that we value you as a new team member. We hope to ensure a bright future for our students by hiring the best staff who are dedicated to building a strong educational foundation for our students.
 
The following information will be required when you attend orientation:
  • Driver License
  • Enrollment Card (if applicable)
  • Social Security Card -or- Passport -or- Military ID
 
The following will be given to you to fill out:
  • National Background Check
  • Local Background Check
  • Tax Forms
  • Policy and Procedures Acknowledgement
  • Fingerprint Check Form
 
Are you a new employee?
Download and fill out paperwork in advance and bring with you to orientation. 
 
You must pass the drug test, background check, and submit fingerprints before you are considered a CCS employee. Please be advised that you will need to receive clearance through the supervisor who recommended your employment before you work.
What next?
As a new employee, it is our duty to ensure the safety of our students and faculty. You will be required to obtain an employee badge, keys to your classroom/office, and a parking tag. Forms can be picked up with Human Resources or your school Administrative team. 
**New staff will be required to pass the Security Awareness Test to gain access to a computer.
 
Forms for an employee badge and key(s) will need to be signed by your Director/Principal and turned into Facilities Management Administrative Assistant, Jeanne Beck, ext. 45086. Facilities Management is located at the North Entrance.
 
Parking tags will be issued by Brett Robertson, Director of Security, at ext. 45068, located in Middle School.
 
Radios are issued by Jae Winchester, Community Affairs Director ext. 45124. The CAC offices are located between Elementary and Middle School. 
 
Teaching/Office staff members will be issued a computer username and password by I.T. once they turn in the Security Awareness training certificate. The training module titled "Information Management and Technology (IMT) Awareness Training" can be found here: https://doiu.doi.gov/trainingcds/IMTFISSA2021/. Staff will also be issued a school email address. I.T. can be contacted at [email protected]. There are 7 modules.
 
**ALL CHEROKEE CENTRAL SCHOOLS STAFF ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE MANDATORY SCANS TRAINING ONCE A YEAR.**
