Cherokee Central IT Department
The primary goal of the technology program in Cherokee Central School is to improve student academic achievement through the use of technology. Our technology program is designed not only to assist every student to become technologically literate by the end of the eighth grade, but also to encourage the effective integration of technology resources and systems within the classroom setting. Integration of technology is encouraged through teacher training and curriculum development that establishes successful research-based instructional methods. Specific tools of technology enabling teachers and administrators to work more productively offer solutions in the areas of student attendance monitoring, achievement monitoring, online test taking, intervention strategies when needed, time management, and the creation of exciting and effective classroom activities.
