Student Internships

 
Want to become a Student Intern with the Cherokee Central School?
Cherokee Central School has had a long standing relationship with the local universities to assist students in completing their student teaching requirement and classroom observations. To fulfill your student teaching/classroom observation, please contact the Principal of the school you wish to intern. Once you have made arrangements with them, you will need to stop by the Human Resources office, located in the Central Office (near the Football Stadium). 
 
We ask that each student intern bring the following with them:
  • A Photo ID
  • Completed Health Examination Certificate/Physical  (If your school does not provide one, it can be found HERE)
  • Completed Drug Test Results (Taken through Cherokee Central Schools or testing site of your choice)
  • National Background Check Results (If your school does not provide this service, you may complete it through the Cherokee Central Schools HR Office)
  • Completed Policy Forms (Found Below)
  • DOI Training Certificate (If CCS email access is needed) - https://doiu.doi.gov/trainingcds/IMTFISSA2021/
 
We will also need to take Fingerprints and have you sign the CCS Policy and Procedures agreement before you begin your internship.
